Jordan Spieth shuts down LIV Golf links with one epic tweet

Three-time major champion Jordan Spieth was quick to pledge his loyalty to the PGA Tour following a series of bogus rumours

It’s safe to say Jordan Spieth had a rollercoaster day during round two of the Scottish Open, even for his standards.

The American briefly returned to his very best at Renaissance, carding two birdies to move into the top 10 before four bogeys in his last seven holes saw him fall out of contention.

In-between that, we were treated to some classic Spieth ball-chat as him and caddie Michael Greller produced comedy gold on the par-3 9th.

But while all this was going on, rumours were doing the rounds on social media – largely thanks to the “understanding” of one media outlet – that Spieth was in talks with LIV Golf. Some believed it. Some, rightfully, called it out.

It forced Spieth, who has pledged his loyalty to the PGA Tour a number of times over the past year, to reiterate his stance once again.

Now that’s how you put an end to such bogus rumours.

Another totally normal day in the life of Jordan Alexander Spieth, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
