Adele Sanford only went and hit a 67-million-to-one shot in her third ever competition!
Another week, another extraordinary hole-in-one story, this time made all the more remarkable given the golfer in question is just 14-years old… and has been playing the sport for one year!
After joining Canmore Golf Club in Alberta, Canada back in 2021, Adele Sanford signed up to her club championships this year with the ambition of bettering her scores and finding some confidence.
“My past couple of tournaments I’ve gotten super nervous and completely messed up.” Sanford said. “I just wanted to beat my last score!”
Well, she then did more than just that. Playing in just her third competition, Sanford was left shocked after her tee shot on the par-3 12th took a lovely kick before rolling into the cup. Her first ever hole-in-one!
“I didn’t think it was going to go in,” she said, “I was in shock!”
Then, the improbable happened. Achieving something which stands at a near-improbable 67-million-to-one, Sanford only went and saw lighting strike twice when she rocked up to the par-3 15th…
That’s right, two aces in four holes in only your third ever competition.
“By that point, everyone was watching.” Sanford said. “I hit that one dead straight and I thought ‘holy smokes, that’s going to go in.’ And it did.”
Incredible. Watch out Brooke Henderson, we think you might have some competition as the face of Canadian golf.
