Things ended in disaster for Aaron Cockerill after he made back-to-back aces on the DP World Tour
Remember the DP World Tour star who was awarded the ‘worst ever’ hole-in-one prize at the Omega Masters? Well, it’s only gone and happened again… one week later!
Just seven days after Aaron Cockerill had fans in hysterics when he was awarded life insurance for making an ace in Switzerland (yes, seriously), he only saw lightning strike twice after holing out at the par-3 16th at Made in Himmerland…
Two holes-in-one in a week? Incredible. So after cashing in on life insurance last week to the amusement of everyone, what would Cockerill’s big prize be in Denmark? Well, here’s where things imploded for the poor Canadian.
Caught up in the hysteria of the hole-in-one double, and having not claimed a shiny car new once again, Cockerill followed up the ace with a quadruple-bogey 8 on the 17th.
Then, disaster. After closing with a bogey, Cockerill forgot to sign his card and was disqualified from the golf tournament. What a week.
Can confirm 2 aces in 7 days is pretty cool, although I didn’t exactly ‘validate’ it on the next .. ☃️ And with some hole in one chatter in the recording area I forgot to sign my card and got DQ’d 🤣 #haveaday

At least Cockerill still has his humour after the bizarre DQ… and a bucket load of life insurance to dampen the blow.
