Adam Scott teases LIV Golf switch by telling Cam Smith to ‘make me a offer’

Has Adam Scott just dropped the biggest hint yet he’ll be joining Cam Smith at LIV Golf?

Adam Scott has teased the prospect of a switch to LIV Golf after telling countryman Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman to “make me an offer.”

The Australian has been long linked with a move to LIV despite pleading his loyalty to the PGA Tour after attending the Tiger Woods-led players’ meeting in August.

But despite his attendance, Greg Norman hasn’t given up hope on signing the 2013 Masters Champion, sending Smith and Leishman on a mission to recruit Scott for his Australian team.

And now, days after representing competing at the Presidents Cup, Scott has sparked rumours again after telling The Sydney Morning Herald LIV Golf isn’t “pure evil” before teasing the Aussie pair to lure him.

“I don’t necessarily see LIV as just pure evil for the game of golf.” Scott said. “It’s also providing some interesting opportunities from the PGA Tour side as well. Hopefully we can get beyond people having shots at each other and each organisation can move on with what they want to do.

“As far as Cam and Leish recruiting me, they’ve got plenty of cash now so they’re more than welcome to make me an offer.

“I probably haven’t been able to put myself in a position where I’m willing to give up trying to win major championships.”

Having signed Smith for a reported $140 million, adding fellow major winner Scott would help complete Norman’s Aussie jigsaw ahead of LIV’s 2023 season.

The revamped schedule is expected to feature at least one event Down Under.
