Brian Harman reveals graphic detail of PGA Tour downtime

Brian Harman appears to live a very different home life to many of his PGA Tour colleagues, and he revealed the extent of this before firing out the blocks at the RBC Heritage

You can never fault pure honesty when asking PGA Tour golfers questions.

It’s what we all long for, right?

So when one reporter asked Brian Harman how he spent his time between missing the cut at the Masters and arriving at the RBC Heritage, they could have no complaints.

Harman carded rounds of 77 and 74 at Augusta National to miss out on the weekend, his fifth missed cut in his last 14 starts

“What happened at the Masters?” he was asked ahead after the first round at Sea Pines Resort, and what have you done since?

“I went, and I killed a pig Friday night at my farm, and I killed a turkey Saturday morning,” Harman revealed.

“I didn’t hit any balls until I got here Tuesday.”

In his downtime, Harman is also partial to bow-hunting animals. It is described as his “biggest thrill” off the golf course on the PGA Tour website.

A number of his family members excel at spear-fishing too.

Whatever the 36-year-old did to prepare for Hilton Head Island, he opened with a 65 to be fighting at the top of the leaderboard.

Harman lives in St. Simons Island, Georgia, just down the coast from Savannah, but he certainly feels at home at Harbour Town.

In 2004, he became the first teenager to play at the RBC Heritage at the age of 17. He’s looking for his third win on the PGA Tour this week.
