Augusta, Pebble Beach among golf courses most tagged on Instagram

TPC Scottsdale is home to the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the “greatest show on grass.”

It is now also one of the “most picturesque” golf courses in the United States, according to one company.

According to research conducted by golf apparel company Galvin Green, the Scottsdale course ranked No. 10 among the most picturesque golf courses in the country.

How did the company determine the list? It’s based on the number of Instagram-tagged posts that mention the course.

According to the company, TPC Scottsdale had 24,512 tagged Instagram posts through July 24, 2024, putting it behind nine other courses.

It wrote of TPC Scottsdale: “Situated in Scottsdale, Arizona, has a blend of desert landscape, strategic bunkering, and challenging water hazards that create a visually stunning and demanding test of golfing skill. This combination of exciting tournament atmosphere, unique course features, and beautiful desert setting solidifies TPC Scottsdale’s reputation as one of America’s most awe-inspiring courses.”

Of course, Instagram is just a visual representation. Looking for the Golfweek’s Best course lists? Here’s what our extensive network of raters have chosen:
